This policy explains how Ripon Men’s Shed collects and uses personal information through our website, ripon-mens-shed.org.

Ripon Men’s Shed is a registered charity based in Ripon, North Yorkshire. We are the “data controller” for personal information collected through this website.

We collect the details you give us, through our forms so we can respond to you.

We don’t collect financial information through our website. If you apply to join, we follow up by personal or direct email contact, and any further financial details needed to complete your application are handled through that direct contact, not the website.

If you have agreed to give us details regarding health and emergency contact this is only kept for the purpose of maintaining your safety at the shed and will be deleted when no longer required or at your request.

4. Cookies

We use a cookie consent tool to ask your permission before any non-essential cookie is set; you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer. A couple of pages include content from other websites — a Google Map on our Visit page and a Facebook feed on our Home page — which may set their own cookies once you accept them.

We don’t sell your information. We only share it with the services we use to help run the site and process forms, or where the law requires it. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.
